Apprentice Compliance & Audit Quality Control Specialist
The Compliance, Audit & Quality Control specialist will primarily be quality checking reports that auditors submit following on-site audits at hotels. They will ensure that the auditors have filled in comments correctly and assessing if the hotels have complied with Travelife’s sustainability requirements. This specialist will also sometime work with hotels on any post-audit improvements they need to comply with and this involves evaluating evidence that a hotel submits and providing hotels with feedback.
The apprentice will be required to complete the Regulatory Compliance Officer (level 4) training course.
There will be other projects from time-to-time such as assisting with the recruitment and training of auditors, and supporting Travelife’s own internal compliance procedures.
The Ideal candidate should have:
- Able to consistently show attention to detail.
- Able to make consistent, fair and impartial judgements.
- A passion for sustainability, travel and tourism.
- Competent with data and spreadsheets.
- Excellent software skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Provision of excellent customer service and support.
- Able to work well under pressure and can meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and must be fluent in both oral and written English.

Meet Charlene Pink, the 2019 ABTA summer intern from the University of Surrey, an ABTA Education Partner. Charlene completed a marketing plan for Travelife that laid out how we could work with destinations around the world to increase the volume of Travelife Certified properties. This included producing research and planning templates as well as designing marketing materials.
