Should your application be successful, you will be waitlisted to join one of our 5-day Auditor Training courses. These are run periodically at various global locations and you will be notified us of upcoming training. The cost for this is €600 plus your travel, accommodation and subsistence costs that you will be responsible for.
When you have confirmed to us that you will be attending the training we will ask you for the payment. Once your payment has been received you will be asked to complete some online courses beforehand and will be given full details of how to prepare for the 5-day course.
The course includes an assessment, and should you pass you will be invited to become an Approved Auditor for Travelife. You will sign our Auditor Agreement that covers the terms of service, payments, the Auditor Code of Conduct and our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Before we let you audit solo, you will need to shadow another Approved Auditor and also have your first audit shadowed.
So that your knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date, you will be expected to attend our online meetings and training sessions, and attend bi-annual refresher training courses when they are offered in a suitable location.
That depends on a number of factors such as how many hotels are due for audits in your region, along with how experienced and engaged you are.
Auditors that have been fully engaged with us are more likely to be allocated audits. This means things like attending online training sessions and meetings, taking care of administrative tasks quickly and accurately (invoicing, uploading reports, agreeing dates with hotels) and consistently following the Auditor Code of Conduct.
