Our terminology explained
Travelife Property Code is the unique identifier our system automatically assigns to each property. They always start with a 1- and the next two letters are the ISO country code, followed by the ISO region code then a unique set of randomly generated numbers.
Property Size refers to the categories we use to define properties by maximum nightly guest occupancy: Micro = 1 to 30 guests, Small = 31 to 160 guests, Medium & Large = 161 to 1,000 guests, Mega = 1,000+ guests
Certified? shows if the property has a current certification with the expiry date of that certification shown in the next column. column ‘Audit Status’.
Certification Status is assigned according to where the property is in the certification process at the time the report was generated:
Audit Due generally means a property is due for their first Travelife audit. We transitioned to a new certifications system in January 2021 so over the next few years it is possible that some of these are showing as new audits when in fact they are repeat ones, so please email info@travelife.org if you need clarification about a specific property.
Renewal Audit Due or Expired Certification means a property is due to renew their certification. These duplicate terms are a result of us moving from our old certifications system to the new one in January 2021 and should become uniform over the next 2-years.
Audit Confirmed means that an auditor has been allocated to the property and an audit date has been agreed.
Report Pending means that an audit has recently been carried out (probably within the last 7-days) and the auditor is compiling the audit report.
Quality Check means that an audit report has recently been submitted by the auditor and it is currently undergoing a series of quality checks by the Travelife certifications team in London.
Certified means the property has a current certification.
Improvements means that the hotel had an audit in the last 6-months but needs to make some corrections or changes before we can certify them.
Not Certified means that the property needs to arrange another audit as they did not pass the most recent one.
Expired Audit means that the property was audited and had improvements to make but did not complete these by our deadline.
Next Audit Date shows when their next audit is scheduled. There will only be a date here if the Audit Status is Audit Confirmed.
Subscription Status shows if their 2-year paid subscription is current or not. Expired properties need to pay their renewal fee and cancelled ones have told us they no longer wish to continue with Travelife. Expired or cancelled subscriptions should not be shown in your listings of certified properties as they are no longer in contract with us. This means that we have no basis for enforcing compliance with our requirements.
Subscription expiry is the date their subscription expires/expired. We only include subscriptions that expired or cancelled in the last 3-months on the report. If you need information about a property that expired or cancelled more than 3-months ago then please email info@travelife.org.
Latitude and Longitude are the address coordinates of the property.
GIATA Code is only visible to companies that have shown us they have a valid GIATA license. If you have a GIATA license and would like to have this version of the report, please email info@travelife.org with verification of your GIATA status.
